Position Summary

Under limited supervision, applies high levels of interpersonal communication, technical and software development skill to develop, operate, administer and maintain SynerComm internal and customer-facing IT applications. Responsible for understanding and enforcing SynerComm IT-related policy, process and procedure. Ensures effective and timely support for SynerComm's IT application users.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor, operate, administer and maintain SynerComm's customer-facing applications including, but not limited to:
    • SynerComm's Internet web site, (www.synercomm.com)
    • SynerComm's customer asset portal, (synercare.synercomm.com)
    • SynerComm's web-based Rapid Hybrid Pen Test application
  • Develop new customer-facing applications and enhance existing applications across various platforms including web, client-server, and mobile
  • Monitor, operate, administer and maintain SynerComm's internal, 3rd party, and cloud-based applications including but not limited to:
    • Sales Applications
    • Financial Applications
    • Operations Applications (e.g. Time, Expense and PTO tracking)
  • Support Systems Administration in the operation, administration and maintenance of middleware systems including but not limited to:
    • Sharepoint Services
    • Web Services
    • Database Services
  • Collaborate with Systems Administration in support of user issues
  • Support custom scripts and applications for customer solutions
    • Localization configuration scripts
    • Software Defined Networking and Orchestration solutions

Job Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 2 years web development experience

Basic Requirements

  • Proficient in JavaScript, PHP 7, Python, and object-oriented design
  • Familiar with databases and SQL syntax, such as MySQL/MariaDB or Postgres preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and web server (Apache or Nginx) configuration

Position Summary

The primary objectives of the Information Assurance Consultant - Auditor are to deliver and enhance various information assurance services provided SynerComm's clients. The services include technical security assessments, IT security and compliance audits, risk assessments, and security consulting. This is a hands-on role, requiring technical skills from the hardware to the application layer and understanding of industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, IT audits, risk assessments, business impact analysis, gap analysis and consulting
  • Utilize and interpret results from automated testing tools and developing manual audits
  • Reviewing client policies and standards for accuracy, applicability and industry/regulatory compliance
  • Auditing operating system, Active Directory, application and network device (switch, router, firewall, etc.) configurations

Position Summary
